Dr. Jehaan Wadia is a Consultant ENT & Endoscopic
Surgeon in Mumbai. During his internship year, he
completed an Honours Elective program at Beth Israel
Medical centre, Harvard University in Boston.
After concluding his MBBS and Masters (MS) in
Otorhinolaryngology & Head Neck Surgery,
he completed his Senior Registrar posts from BDBA Shatabdi Hospital, Kandivali and Rajawadi Hospital, Ghatkopar, Mumbai.
His focus has always remained endoscopic and micro
surgery and
he pursued further specialisation with a
Fellowship in Laryngology at Lokamnya Tilak Municipal
General
(Sion) Hospital for a period of 1 year.
Following which he underwent fellowship training in
advanced Endoscopic Rhinology Skull Base Surgery at Bombay Hospital in Mumbai
for a period of 2 years.
Functional endoscopic sinus surgery (FESS) is a minimally
invasive surgical treatment which uses
nasal
endoscopes
to enlarge the natural nasal drainage pathways of the
paranasal sinuses and improve
sinus
ventilation.
This procedure is generally used to treat inflammatory
and infectious sinus diseases, including chronic
rhinosinusitis that doesn’t respond to drugs, nasal polyps,
some tumours, etc.
